Group Email Account Request
Academic or Administrative
Summary: Use this form to request an Academic or Administrative group email account.

A group email account is not meant to be used as a distribution list. If you are looking for a distribution list, request a listserv instead, which allows you to send email to a large list of email addresses. Learn about the different group email options at BC.

Note: Student Organizations must use the Student Organization Group Email Account Request Form and have it signed by the Office for the Dean of Student Development (ODSD).

Note: You will be asked to enter your BC username and password upon form submission.

*Full Name: Must be a BC faculty or staff member
*Dept/School/Org: The contact's primary BC organization
*Organization Type: Academic Dept.
Administrative Org.
Other: 		The contact's organization type

Group Email Information

*Account Username: Between 3 and 8 characters. Choose something descriptive, but easy to remember. For example, helpctr@bc.edu
Email Alias: @bc.edu An optional alias that makes the address more user-friendly. For example, Help.Center@bc.edu
*Account Type: Interactive Interactive: You log into this email account separate from your own personal email account. You log in with the group email account username and password, not your own
  Forward Forward: Email is forwarded, just like an email distribution list (listserv), to the email addresses you specify below

Responsibilities of Group Account Users

Individuals requesting or accessing group email accounts must adhere to the following responsibilities:

Once the list is created, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have any questions, email group.email.questions@bc.edu.

Please note that it may take 1-2 business days to complete your new group email account request. If you require a faster turnaround time, please email group.email.questions@bc.edu.
